While greyhounds are gentle, loving creatures and normally do well with children, they are normally not raised around small children and therefore are not accustomed to small infants, older babies and toddlers. GREAT's policy is to ask families to wait until their children are above the age of 6 years old before applying to adopt a greyhound. We may make exceptions for those families with children who are almost 6, or for families who have recent or current experience with greyhounds or other large dogs. Please list all children in the home, along with their ages and whether or not they have lived with dogs. We will contact you to discuss whether or not we can make an exception for children under 6. If you have no children, please enter None.
